The SEABASE TRAINING CENTER FOR WATCHKEEPING, Inc. (STCW) is duly approved by the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) which acts as broker or dealer in securities, government securities eligible dealer (GSED), investment adviser of an investment company, investment house, transfer agent, commodity financial futures exchange/broker/merchant, financing company, pre-need plan issuer, general agent in pre-need plans and time shares/club shares/membership certificates issuers or selling agents thereof.

The primary purpose of this company is to establish, operate and provide an impeccable venue for maritime training to educational institutions or learning centers that provide courses in Maritime Education, Technical-Vocational Programs and Non-Maritime related Programs. It further aims to provide training that will harness the competency, skills and proficiency of seafarers and other maritime related professions adhering to global standards by means of providing necessary facilities for maritime simulation, upgrading, assessment and maritime research.
STCW, Inc. also engages in any / all business pertinent thereto complying with national, international and industrial standards such as procurement of training equipment which includes acquiring, purchasing, leasing real or any properties of whatsoever nature or kind necessary for the implementation of the company’s programs and services.
As a training center, STCW, Inc. receives tuition fees and miscellaneous fees, accepts donations, endowments, grants, legacies and instruments / devices conformably with existing applicable statutes. Likewise, it sells, mortgages, pledges, assigns, conveys or otherwise disposes properties if it may deem necessary in establishing and operating one or more branch offices anywhere in the Philippines to carry on any or all of its operations and business in accordance to the laws of the Philippines.

As STCW, Inc. envisions itself to be the leading maritime training center across the country that produces world class qualified and competent Filipino Seafarers to local and international shipping companies by means of providing a quality training that will greatly enhance trainees’ knowledge, skills and competence; molding and building them to be one of the country’s prides in nation building as they also contribute to the country’s economic development.​

4. To be a trusted partner of maritime related government agencies, ship owners, manning/crewing companies, maritime institutions and other stakeholders in the maritime sector, both local and abroad, in terms of standard quality maritime training.
