BASIC COMPUTER COURSE

Enhance Seafarer's in their Basic Computer Skills to be competent in today trend for latest and new designed gadgets for the future.

The trainees will be able to:
• discuss the objectives of MARPOL 73/78 Convention;
• understand the possible impact of pollution to the environment;
• explain how ships contribute in polluting the environment;
• explain responsibilities and obligations under international regulations aimed at preventing various forms of pollution by ships;
• introduce effective pollution management scheme; and
• demonstrate competence in preventing/controlling pollution appropriate to position held onboard.

HAZMAT

This course is intended for seafaring personnel for cargo handling of packaged forms, toxic, dangerous, hazardous and harmful cargoes (hereafter referred to as “dangerous goods”) aboard ships and to shore-based personnel (including competent authority and similar personnel) responsible for the transport of dangerous goods by sea and involved in any of the aspects set out below.

SLINGING & RIGGING

This course consists formal instruction and practical training. Instruction includes 8 hours of classroom-based theory with visual aids of several operation and DVDs. Practical training consists of 8 hours of demonstration and individual application of theory-based knowledge.

CRANE OPERATOR

The course consists of both formal instruction and practical training. Instruction includes 8 hours of classroom-based theory with visual aids and video presentation. The training consists of 8 hours of practical demonstration and individual application of theory based knowledge.

MARITIME ENGLISH

SHIP SECURITY AWARENESS

This training course focuses on the medium of communication used by on board and shorebased  maritime personnel that include technical terms and vocabularies used in navigation, ship operation and ship to shore communication.

At the end of this course, trainee will be able to: speak Japanese;

enable them to express themselves and understand meanings of words used; understand important terminologies to include Japanese culture and tradition; and to carry out orders and instructions given in Japanese language.

ANTI PIRACY

This course intended to acquire knowledge in managing ships transiting high risk pirate’s areas.

BRIDGE RESOURCE MANAGEMENT

This course will provide opportunities for delegates to consider their role in the working environment and offer a range of tools and techniques aimed at ensuring effective performance.

MEDICAL EMERGENCY FIRST AID

At the end of this course, the trainees will be able to apply immediate first aid in the event of an accident or illness on board. The course is open to all seafarers who are to serve on board sea-going merchant ships. There are no particular educational requirements set.

MEDICAL CARE

This course was designed to  provide medical care to the sick and injured while they remain on board ship, 

INTERNATIONAL SAFETY MANAGEMENT(ISM)

This training course covers International standard for safe management operation of the ship and for prevention of marine life pollution. It is the necessary steps to safeguards the shipmaster and the crews in proper discharge of their responsibilities with regard to maritime safety and the protection of the maritime environment.

STCW CODE SECTION B VIII/2 Part 5
This course is intended to increase awareness among seafarers on the nature and extent of alcohol and drug problems particularly among officers and ratings on board. This includes preventive measures and policies governing drugs and alcohol that were established to encourage seafarers adjust and maintain a better and healthier lifestyle.

SHIP SECURITY OFFICER

Training course aims to provide knowledge and appropriate skills to those who may be designated to perform the duties & responsibilities of a Ship Security Officer.

BULK SAFETY

This training course is intended to provide the officers and crew serving on board thoroughly knowledge with industry requirement and meeting the expectation of customers (charterer) by keeping the ship on its highest standard making her to pass various inspections on board including Right Ship Inspection.

 

SAFETY OFFICER COURSE

This training course aim to establish a management system in shipping companies to ensure the safe operation of ships and the prevention of pollution.

TANKER SAFETY

This course covers the precautions to be taken and the procedures that should be observed on all occasions when handling cargoes. It also provides knowledge in cargo gear, cargo stress, care of cargo during transit and dangerous cargo operations.

MARINE INVESTIGATION AND ROOT CAUSE ANALYSIS

This course is intended to provide understanding for investigating incidents and analyzing management system performance to solve problems and optimize performance.This course helps develop skills for structuring an investigation program for a company.
